Dave Pensado is a Grammy Award-winning mix engineer who has worked on a variety of projects. During the 1970s and 1980s, he worked as a live and studio sound engineer in Atlanta, where he got his start. In 1990, he relocated to the Los Angeles area. Larrabee Studios in Los Angeles is where he mixes between 200 and 250 tracks a year, and he maintains a residency there. Pensado’s Place with Herb Trawick was launched on September 12, 2011, and is a weekly programme hosted by him. The programme is about engineering methods, and each episode has an interview with a guest Mixer, Producer, or Artist. On July 20, 2013, Dave Pensado and Herb Trawick held a “Pensado Gear Expo 2013” at Vintage King Los Angeles, which was attended by hundreds of people. The event was attended by more than a thousand individuals from all around the globe. Engineer Al Schmitt, who has won 22 Grammy Awards, was among the guests of honour at the exhibition.
